official golden douchers thread

great job breaking the press there, now Jok just needs to get a grip on the ball :)

I get Uhl is young and needs some pt but isn't that what the non-conf was for?

There we go ... Uthoff back in.

Iowa's starting 5 can win this thing. Keep 'em on the floor; they get 4 days till next game and need this W.

Yeah, White and Uthoff look like the best two players on the court so far tonight (unless Jok gets hot).

I used to have such high hopes for Woody -- love the big guys and still believe it's a big man's game.

Consider this my official disembarkment off the Woodbury train. He's the softest, "shortest" 7 footer I've ever seen. Just a complete marshmallow.

Ok, so does Woodbury really have like no "mid" post moves? It's a bit painful to watch him catch it in between the basket and the freethrow line and look lost.

Woody really has very few post moves. He will occasionally drive but is very dedicated to his left and lowering his shoulder -- no pull up, no baseline reverse, no cross over or even changing hands, and absolutely zero power moves.

He would be most effective as a high post, with a primary role to draw a double team and feed Gabe on the blocks. Anything else you get from him should be considered gravy.

We're shooting 61%. First of all, what the hell? Second of all, if guys who normally made free throws would stop missing them we'd be up by 15-16 points. I expect some annoying *** to make every three ever and Iowa to start throwing the ball away against the press in the second half because we are determined to always tease success followed by something awful happening.

Absolutely horse crap calls against Uhl and Uthoff.

I don't know how they missed that most obvious travel ever that happened right in front of the ref with no bodies in the way on the last possession of the half. Minnesota didn't score but if they call that Iowa has a chance to throw the ball away and give the Gophers an easy lay up, I mean, score.

We got lucky with Gabe's missed ones because we got the rebound and scored. Whitey's hurt though.
