The smooth one will still be in charge of starting the official Iowa game thread. This is the place to discuss all the other B1G games today.

Illinois and Minnesota have traded touchdowns and are tied at 7 with about 10 min to go before half.
 
Not often you see an 8/9 matchup in this tournament with two teams considered locks for the NCAA.

I would love to be the teams that draw either one of these two in the round of 64 (second round?? I think).
 
ISU down 9 with 8:41 left in the 1st. I know they aren't Big Ten but a win helps our RPI and a loss could move them to the bubble FWIW.
 
Digger & Jalen were sticking up for Iowa going over Minnesota and ILL because of their .500 conference record, on condition they beat NW of course.

Minnesota does have some quality wins, no doubt. But now 8-11 in conference. That coupled with what Spank said about their last 15 games is ugly.

I think Minnesota may have just played their way out of the Dance and Tubby may have coached his way out of a job. My guess is that if Minny does NOT make the Dance, one of the assistants will be coaching the team in the NIT. But if I'm the NIT, I'm not sure I want them in my dance either.

This is just the kind of banter I want out there...people throwing our name around. This kind of talk will gain serious momentum if we have a game Saturday afternoon.

I agree, Minnesota shouldn't be in, the don't deserve it but they just posted their RPI on ESPN (not counting the ILL loss) and its 24. Thats crazy high to be left out.
 
OK, their RPI vs how they played the last 2+ months of the year. Are they one of the best 68? Now, absolutely without a doubt no, they do not pass the eye test. Like Iowa, another case where the numbers lie, and for the Goofs, its for the worse.

At the start of conference play I would have given them no worse than a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. Now I wouldn't put them in the NCAA tournament. I think Illinois was in anyway so I'm glad they won this game.
