Offense's trend on drives deep into scoring territory

The hawks stalled 4 times in 5 possessions against ISU but came away with 4 FGoals.

The trend continued yesterday against the only other team with a decent defense. This time the coaches didnt seem to be playing for FGoals in a low scoring game where FGoals could have won it.

The offense needs to fix this fast. Some FGoals are ok but need to get TDs

Besides Duncan's one FGoal from the 4 yard line the hawks got the ball to

mich 30 then pass sack

mich 33 run then pass int

Mich 36 3rd and 3 incomplete

Nich 35 5 yards on first down run, 2nd down sack pass incomplete

mich 25 1st down and then pass the ball with penalties

All of those drives above could have resulted in a long FGoal try .

And the other trend I noticed is going away from the run and having bad things happen in the passing game.

These drives were mostly second half or late first half and the coaches knew Mich was blitzing.

What is wrong with trying a power run at a specific part of the LOS to beat that blitz.

Does this offense need to get back to basics and pound with Toren Young and sizzle with Goodson?
