Offense vs Defense

Which Hawkeye do you see making more of an impact the 2nd half of the season on the offense and on the defense?

I see Brandon Smith coming into his own and being used to stretch the field for deep balls, pulling safeties from the middle of the field and opening up the middle and intermediate routes for our TE's. May be an indirect impact, but he's going to have to be respected or he's going to make big plays.

I like Amani Hooker and his versatility. He can be moved all over the field has his confidence continues to grow and play safety, slot corner, and backer. It will really help our run defense as well as our pass defense and moving him around gives us our best chance to put our other defenders into positions where they can best succeed.

My choices may not make the most direct statistical impact, but I feel they will really help open up options on their respective sides of the ball.

I, as well, think hooker will have a good second half. He's been having a good season so far. It might not show on paper but he's always around the ball. There's about 3-4 times he blitz and almost got the QB but the def line has been phenomenal and get to QB first. Also hooker seems to get a pass breakup at key times in the game. So he's having a good year but is due for a great game.

I expect IKM to get healthy and to emerge as the #1 running back down the stretch.

I expect Nick Nieman to return and help the LB's depth issue.
