Observations: Hawkeyes Keep Rolling

It was a very complete game for the hawks minus a few turnovers and poor decisions from about 7 minutes left in the game to about 3-4 minutes left. I do not remember the time and score, about 6 minutes left and hawks up by about 14, but Connor took a trey attempt with very little time off of the shot clock and very few passes in the offense. Mich went down and maybe scored but Fran took a timeout anyway. I am sure Fran told them to run the offense, work for high percentage shots, Mich has to start overplaying and will be ripe for dunks and layups.

That was a good timeout as the hawks started working the offense and shot clock again. They still made a few turnovers getting in traps (perhaps a few Mich fouls were missed). Fran had to take that next timeout after the 10 second violation but the hawks came out playing the press much better.

And the final 4 minutes was great with the hawks making at least 3 steals, forcing bad mich shots and rebounding well. Great defense while they worked the offensive end to get some very high percentage shots.

And what can you say about Kris's 3 pt dagger with about 2 minutes left. The hawks needed a bucket of any kind and he stepped up.
