O Line thoughts

Jackson just isn't that great but will be with more experience. Render isn't good. We have really struggled all year against all defenses to impose our will. I believe if you trade our O line with Penn St. Wadley has way better numbers. Barkley wouldn't have had more than 150 rushing behind our O Line.

PSU sold out to stop the run in the first half and it worked. Wadley would have had difficulty getting yards no matter who was playing on the line. I thought the line pass blocked pretty darn well.

Of course taking advantage of the mentally decrepit Iowa administration by accepting pay that only championship coaches should get could be considered by some to be immoral and unethical behavior. What the heck though, if they are dumb enough to keep doing it why not just keep taking from the mentally decrepit powers that be and Iowa boosters.

I am not trying to be inconsiderate or rude here but I just want you all to think outside of the box (no not the one KF keeps running against....... Eight in the box). It appears almost like the type of brainwashing you see when people get trapped into religious cults. After a while you begin to accept learned behavior that most normally minded people would never accept.

Of course there may be the fear factor here. What if we got a new coach and slipped to be a four win ISU or Purdue type of program? Maybe most of our friends and neighbors would mock us and think we are so stupid for giving up the glory of being 7-5? Don't worry and lose sleep no one cares whether your 7-5 or 4-8.......... your not even a glimmer of a thought in most college football fans minds either way.

The defense was A+ in the first half, amazing stuff, the offensive play calling was poor. I know the hawks dropped a couple of passes and Stanley had a couple of bad throws but the passes were there. This hawk team needs to throw the ball to back up defenses.
