I thought this was going to be our primetime ABC broadcast nationwide?
It will be 11:00..
My guess is 11:00 Iowa/Northwestern, 2:30 Purdue/Nebraska 6:00 Penn State/Maryland
The Iowa/Minnesota game the following week will be a 2:30 game.
It's been done this way for years. There has always been 2-3 weeks per year when the networks exercise their 6-day option. You just haven't been paying close enough attention.Maybe I'm out in left field on this. But as today's football games get underway, I just don't see a justification in waiting to announce the starting times on these games - especially these three. It used to be that starting times were announced by the end of Tuesday the week before the game (12 days out). That was probably close enough, as it gave the home teams enough time to prepare all the little things that needed to be set.You just can't wait until the last second. While I won't be at the game, if I were, a lot of my plans would already have (wanted to be) put into place. And there is a huge difference in my planning for an 11 AM game, a 2:30 PM game, and a 6 PM game.

I'm calling Jim Delany now, well this morning. 2:30 is the Best for games at the
Mecca of college football, Kinnick stadium.

We do seem to play marginally better with 11AM kicks.
