Are you a Hawk for life like your username says or not? Everyone knew Iowa would be a bubble team at best and that next year would be the year for a return to the NCAA. Yes, most hoped and going into yesterday Iowa did have a shot at making the NCAA this year, but this year hasn't been a disappointment overall. Stick with them, they'll make you proud to be a fan someday.

I don't doubt that it has the potential to be better. I doubt it has the ability to be better. By that I mean everything from coaching to karma (key injuries at strength positions, i.e. OL and TE).

Even if the team can overcome the above two common-place obstacles, how do you define "much better"? 50%? 75%? Both are significant percentage improvements but still only end up as an average, 6-6 / 7-5 team. Not much to get excited about.
