Right now: Iowa defense > Oklahoma defense

Murray is the real deal. Wow...accurate on every throw.

yeah and OUs receivers get so wide open i can hit them they sprint 20 yards downfield and if dback giving cushion they break it back for easy 12-15 yard completion
 
OU is in their 10th year of tackling like pussies not sure why B Stoops put up with that for years

and OU offense way better than iowa

OU offense is top 5. Defense is lucky if it's top 50. Overall OU probably a better total team than Iowa, but man our defense is light years ahead of them.

But it's always gotta be about Iowa over there.
 
Here's what drives me crazy. ISU played with 8 and sometimes 9 in the box last week...the 9th guy was cheating late on certain double TE formations. With OU spreading them out...they have a max 5 in the box and OU is running all over them. I realize it's choose your poison with Murray throwing the ball.

Here is my point. Last week we went with 4 WRs and they adjusted to maybe 6 in the box. Young runs for 8-9 yards. We never did it again. i'm just confused why Iowa doesn't use more WR formations to pull people out of the box...then run the ball. I like our 5-6 guys vs 6 on the defense.
 
If you are Lincoln Riley, do you move on from Mike Stoops? ISU has some good skill players, but my goodness.

The only problem with this logic, is that - for it to work - the defense has to view the WRs as capable of hurting them....

Nebby loses again at home — to Troy — and no thread. But another thread about ISU.

Sounds like big brother has a little brother myopia.
 
ISU puts 27 on Oklahoma, makes me feel even better about the Hawk Defense. Gave up only 37 so my take away is Iowa State's defense is OK. A better showing by ISU then I thought they would have. Oh, and more tears to the West. I guess it's time for Nebby to lower their expectations for a NC to bowl eligible. LOL

FYI--There's a 4 page thread on Nebby's loss, compared to a 13 (now 14) post thread about ISU.

Nebby will be lucky to win four games this year. And that's not hyperbole. They had the toughest conference draw in the BIG before they started 0-2. Their road has more land mines than the Ho Chi Minh trail.

They are in for an abysmal year. Frost will get his 3 years though. Kirk got us to where we are at even after a 1 win first campaign. I will enjoy watching Nebraska suffer through this season, but the smart long money is still on Nebraska getting back to competitive in the B1G.
