November Night Games

Does the big ten still have the rule for no november night games? I thought I heard mumblings that they might change it. If so, will there still be just the one 2:30 game and all 11's the rest of the year?

The Big Ten clarified last year that there is not such a rule. But they obviously highly discourage it.

This doesn't mean only one 2:30 and the rest 11am. Occasionally ESPN/ESPN2/BTN carry a 2:30, 3 or 3:30 game.

As long as there is a possibility that would be the obvious choice....and consisdering both teams win out. I would really like to see it.

Minnesota had November night games when they were in a dome.

I really doubt that Iowa-OSU is at night. The networks really wanted OSU-Mich in 2006, when they were both undefeated, to be at night, but the B10 and the schools turned it down.

Personally, I'd rather not attend a night game at Kinnick on 11/20. 2:30 is just fine with me.

I don't think it'll be at night. But not because OSU-Michigan in 2006 wasn't. That's just a game that I could never imagine NOT being on a Saturday afternoon in November.

Not for night games in the Big Ten. It's more or less a policy that we don't play at night in November. Both schools have to agree for that to change. Otherwise that #1 vs. #2 game in '06 WOULD have been at night.
