Notre dame.....just why?

There they are, ranked #24 in coaches poll. Whens the last time notre dame was relevant? When was the last time they were in the national championship picture? Well it seems like every year, no matter how they did the pervious year, espn and the coaches continue to talk the Irish up and rank them in the top 25.

Yes they have a huge national following and alumni, but each and every year they get talks of BCS bowl predictions and or national titles (every year by lue holtz). They have finished 8-5 the past two years. Whats making them ranked? Why every year do they get so much talk?

ok, well if youre gonna go that route, then why is boise st ranked ahead of them. What im asking basically is why does ND get so mucg hype every year? Not really asking about their ranking.

If they go 8-5, they will probably end up being ranked too low.
