Notebook: Urban Meyer A Fan of Iowa's Kirk Ferentz

Kirk Ferentz by all accounts I've heard from people or read about is everything Meyer said. That's not in dispute.

However, iowa is the opponent in a trap game. Those teams are not usually very good teams. Not the place to be. I want to be the the team that is playing that team that's not very good.

Iowa has a chance to prove the next two weeks that it's a good team. It also hasn't lost to a bad team, yet.

Did I say Iowa has lost to a bad team? I don't think I did. I said when you're in the conversation of the team being the trap game versus playing a trap game against a not so good opponent, that's not good.

You replied to my post that Iowa hasn't lost to a bad team. My original post had nothing to do with who Iowa lost to. It was the fact Iowa is the opponent in a trap game and I said that's not a good place to be.

This is not difficult Rob.

Tire of this same old shtick...patting the coach on the head, putting on his mittens, and sending him outside to play with his safety helmet on.

By the way Rob. I can't imagine the position you're in having press access to KF. That's one of many reasons I'm not a sports reporter. I'd call it as I see and lose my credentials quickly.

KF is a seemingly good guy who runs a clean program for the most part but has to most god awful boring offensive philosophy of the P5 teams. When ISU can recruit better skill players than Iowa you know something is not right.

Again, I get you have to be careful. I don't though. None of this is rocket science. Kf is a good guy and a boring coach. Not a bad coach, but a boring coach.

I’m not looking for an argument, my man. I was just adding my comments about the Iowa team to yours not disputing your point.

I doubt anyone’s going to get his or her “credentials pulled” unless that person is a repeated asshole, disrespectful to staff/employees, or causes a scene.

I think the whole losing credentials thing is way over exaggerated here.

Rob has to be careful on this website and you know it as well as I do.

For the record, I firmly believe Iowa is a good team. I also firmly believe they don't have a head coach that has the ability anymore to get them prepared for the next two opponents.

My disappointment with the current edition of KF has nothing to do with the players for Iowa.

As I said in another post on another topic. Let the players watch game film and form their own game plan this week.

That’s the funniest one I’ve heard here in a long time. Because I’m sure Kirk, Brian, and the rest of the Hawkeye athletic department is scouring HN to monitor @RobHowe and trying to bust him saying mean stuff about the coaches.

You drankin’ again Cletus?
