Ahhh, did not realize that. No brainer then, play him if he's ready. He's already burned his redshirt.
No possibility of medical RS?

Any voluntary redshirt burns that year permanently.I could be wrong but I have a feeling a medical redshirt for someone that has already burned a redshirt for development has to be someone who misses an entire season because they have to and there is no way for them to get back. I don't think they can just get the sixth year because someone got hurt for a few weeks, and they wanted to get in an entire season next year instead of seven games this year.
Don't even open the Ott can of worms. Feel so sorry for him, couldn't even get the fifth year. I know the reasons, but I still think he got the short end on that deal.Ott did play as a true freshman.

Do you know what Ott is doing now?Agree. He got screwed.
It's certainly understandable that Stanley will struggle sometimes, but there's absolutely no excuse for Brian's performance the first 2 1/2 quarters of the Penn St game. Sorry, there's just not.We forget that BF is a green offensive coordinator - so is Stanley who just made his 4th start as a college football player. I'm not surprised that it took them awhile to adjust to PSU's approach.
They will both improve
Last I saw, he was still trying to make the league. I know he got married.

You mean the 6 dropped passes that he personally had? Or the missed blocking assignments on the blitz that would have sprung Akrum any number of times? Or the consistent pass calls on first down? Yeah, I agree....that performance was awful!!It's certainly understandable that Stanley will struggle sometimes, but there's absolutely no excuse for Brian's performance the first 2 1/2 quarters of the Penn St game.
