I know people talk about the lack of vertical/flat feet, but that's really the only thing he has in common with Woodbury. Garza actually has good offensive moves in the post, moves well with or without the ball, and can score beyond the arc.I'm excited for Garza to get here. The offer list alone is very promising: Notre Dame, Georgetown, Indiana, Louisville and St. Joseph's among others.

7'3 wingspan is crazy. And that's something Woody didn't have. I hope he lives up to the hype.He also has a 7'3 wingspan. Plus scoring down low isn't just about jumping ability. Woody just never figured it out, which always kind of surprised me. He just never developed any kind of post moves at all down low offensively. Woody also did a TON of other stuff that helped those teams in making 3 straight NCAA tournaments. His Defense was great, he was a good passer, could run the floor, and was a tough competitor.
Woody's lack of arm length and unexceptional athleticism didn't allow him to get shots away cleanly very often. Garza's unusual length allows him to get up and under/jump hooks away effectively as Fran noted. Luka also has the outside shot that Woody didn't, which will allow him to open up the middle for others. On the offensive end, he'll be very effective, but he's not the athletic freak Cook is so he'll probably need a little experience to put it all together. Garza is noted by his coach as an intelligent player. With his length and bulk, that gives me hope defensively as well.7'3 wingspan is crazy. And that's something Woody didn't have.
