The Big 12 also only has one team left. The mighty ACC only has two teams left. The only power conference that really came to play was the Pac 12. I believe there are 11 conferences represented in the Sweet 16 which is insane.

The Big Ten and Big 12 dominated the polls this year (if that determines strength) and both have flopped in the tourney. Someone on TV mentioned the grind of playing such tough teams night after night.

B1G teams may have peaked too early, punching themselves out navigating the conference season.

I heard one national talking head commenting that with Pac12 off-season and preseason workouts put on hold for months it might have gotten their teams off to slow starts-and they may just now be hitting their stride.

yeah... but it can happen... nearly all the teams in the tournament can beat each other on any given night.

So what, the B1G was overrated and got busted? Next year it might be the other way around. If Michigan wins it all I don’t think it matters how many PAC12 teams made it to the Sweet 16.
