I was impressed. Illinois was like 10 for 12 from 3 in the first half and that is utterly ridiculous. Yeah they got some good looks but give me a break. The good thing is they came out in the 2nd half and didn't get as many good looks. Although when they came out in a zone to start the 2nd half and Illinois buried a 3 I thought about shattering my remote. McCamey is legit and was by far the best player on the floor. That being said I thought Cartwright did an excellent job on both ends of the floor. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap. This game could have gotten away from them and it didn't. A key play was when they had an intentional foul when leading by single digits and we missed both free throws and had a turnover and came away with nothing. That was huge and when the crowd was starting to get into it. All in all very encouraging but like some have pointed out we could lose the next 5 games or so because the schedule is just brutal. Loved it when Fran was coaching until the very end getting pumped when Cole had the tip in late when it was over and calling a t.o. I like it.

P.S. What is with the "Face Book Sluts" ads with graphic porn pictures as I am posting?

Eddy... we were glad you could took on your battle with alcohol so you could continue as the color on the radio broadcasts. It's ok if you have some other hobbies to fill the void.
