Not a fan of bye weeks, but this worked out

Iowa needed a week off to recover, that Wisconsin loss was brutal. It was well timed this year, and I expect that Iowa will take advantage of it. And if I'm wrong, I'm not going to second guess myself.
Yeah when I was looking at the schedule before the year I pretty much thought win or lose that'd be a good spot for one. After that new 4 game redshirt rule and all too I figured it'd be a good time for coaches to evaluate and regroup everything.

I could not disagree more. It’s too early in the year and now they’ll dwell on this loss.

I’d bet heavy they lose to Minnesota.

we will check with u later. if the hawks have good leaders they will focus on what is ahead of them.. if everything breaks equally hawks win by 10+

I firmly believe they could tank a season with a loss to a team like Minnesota.
Is that what you want?

Could not disagree more. In any athletic competition, you need to perform continuously at a high level. You need the daily practice and work-out regimen to stay sharp and focus on the next week’s game.

Now the players have what some might view as a week off. Less time learning plays, less time studying opponent tendencies. More time to get drunk at the Airliner and lead Iowa City’s finest on furtive chases down Dubuque Street.

We don’t do well coming off bye weeks.

I am not certain that I understand. I thought we were playing Brigham Young Engineering today, but I can't find the game time. I am certain that the game will be played at Kinnick.....

Nope but playing flat against inferior competition is a Ferentz signature. You can’t say a loss would be shocking l.
