Northwestern Parking

I actually live on the N. Side of Chicago and was going to drive to the game. Anyone have first hand knowledge on the intelligence of that move? Can I find a spot to park near (i.e--not walk 2 miles) the stadium? Paying to park is obviously a given.

I got to Northwestern and actually will miss the game because of class all day tomorrow. There is lots of parking on campus, and there are free buses to take you the 6 blocks to the stadium. Parking on campus in the lots is free, and there is parking on the streets in some areas (look near parks).

Also, if you get to the stadium early enough, there is a lot of space in the stadium lot, and parking on the streets around the stadium is free. I went to a near sold out Penn State game last year, and I parked 2-3 blocks from the stadium only an hour before kickoff.

I'm expecting tomorrow to be insane, but if you get there early enough you will not have a problem, and shouldn't have to pay unless you get there late, or are lazy.
