Northwestern must be desperate

Just got a call from the Northwestern ticket office asking if I wanted to purchase any tickets to games this year. After carefully thinking it over I declined. I bought tickets through their ticket office when Iowa played there a couple of years ago so if you did the same you may be getting a phone call soon.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume they must not have any games sold out for this year... Poor Cats...

They are not alone. I've purchased tickets in the past to ISU games at Mizzou, KSU, and KU and several times a year get mailings, emails, and calls from their ticket offices trying to get me to buy tickets

Same for me, not the phone call yet, but the emails. That is until I added them to my spam list. :)

As for OK4P, he's still alive and kickin'.

Has anyone heard of Iowa doing this? I think a take some pride in knowing our fan base is loyal enough to not need phone calls to remind us that football tickets are available for sale.

And the 2010 game I went to in Ryan Field was terrible. Got tickets in the end zone in the 8th row thinking I'll be close to the field. Got there and found out there is no row 1-6 and the walkway is directly in my viewing path. After attempting to look through everyone I decided I'm standing up to watch this thing. I then got yelled at by an old cat fan and his family off and on for the third quarter. After his persistent jabbing I told him to look around at all the hawk fans there standing up and said I'll sit down as soon as they do. After the egg we layed there if they guy wanted to go fist to cuffs I wouldn't have been against it.

I will never go back to Evanston. Terrible town and stadium. Also, Iowa always seems to look like crap against them.
