No reason NDSU shouldn't be ranked ahead of us, kind of nice to see the writers are giving them the credit. The polls in recent years seem a lot more reactionary, which is a good thing, especially early.

Sounds about right until the hawks show they can play well against a tough team.

Although Iowa looked the better team in the first half for sure and those two pass drops late in the first half both could have went for big yardage.

NDSU's win will seem far less impressive to voters at the end of the year when our Hawkeyes are 6-6.

And, deserve it ir not, we are still 25 in the coaches' poll. Now behind OSU, MI, MIST, WI, NEBR. Seems about right at this point. But, we will win next four in a row, go to 6-1, and maybe back up some in the polls. Anyway, I like the idea that the team has to decide to fight their way back to improve their reputation. This was a really bad defeat.
To have a shot at three of the above later, we almost have to go to 6-1 first.

not that bad of a loss. NDSU would finish in the upper half of the big 12. I can't find a team that blows them out in the entire conference.
