don'tcha just feel terrible for NC......??
That's what UNC head men's basketball coach Roy Williams is asking after the Tar Heels' loss to Virginia on Sunday night. The Cavaliers handed UNC a 75-60 loss - the team's fourth loss in five games (including three of their last four at home) and its worse home loss since an 81-66 loss to Maryland in 2003. It also marks just Virginia's fifth win at Chapel Hill in 68 tries. "How can you go any lower?" Williams asked. "Be honest: How can it be any worse than it is right now?" It probably can't, considering UNC dropped out of the Top 25 for the first time since January of 2006 and is now near the bottom of the ACC [Atlantic Coast Conference] standings. "Ol' Roy's been awfully lucky in his entire life and things have been very smooth, but right now they're not," Williams said. "I've got to do a better job with my team than what I'm doing right now." Especially with only 10 games left in the regular season - two of which are against Duke, UNC's arch nemesis and current ACC leader.
