Just saw a piece on ESPN that showed North Carolina's struggles this season (13-9). Fans are furious and want Roy Williams fired!!! OH MY!! Didn't they just win a national championship LAST SEASON!!!??? UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I'm sure Iowa would welcome him with open arms. Todd Lickliter should be thankful he is employed by Gary Barta. Could you even imagine the firestorm that would ensue if Todd Lickliter were to have the same results he's had here at Chapel Hill??!!

They can't fire Williams can they ? After all he has been COY before hasn't he ? It seems that's all that matters. Not the product you put on the floor.

I want Roy Williams fired right now.

(Simultaneously Gary Barta on one of those private jets out of Cedar Rapids to Chapel Hill with a contract in hand.)

I want Lick fired too but his supporters seem to think his COY award has earned him a lifetime contract at Iowa. The product on the court doesn't matter.

There will always be extremists and in North Carolina yes there might be some saying RW should be fired, about 2% of them. Here is totally different the extremists might have starting wanting TL out last year but that was only that 2%. Now the other fans that want TL out (I would estimate its about 50/50 right now or a little more towards the out side) have had 3 years to make an informed opinion.

Oh, and in no way have I conducted a scientific experiment, so my percentages are purely speculation :)

Fire Roy. Fire TL. Hire Roy. Yeah!!

Works for me! Roy Williams in IC! Heck yeah! lol

Seriously, what are these people thinking? 2 NCAA championships in the past 5 years and they want him fired? That's insane. And people talk about Iowa's fans being impatient and having unrealistic expectations. Um, yeah. We aren't nearly as bad as some fanbases, obviously.

Could you imagine the meltdown in Ames if all of this happened and a certain recruit who wanted to play for Roy so badly, decided to follow him to Iowa City...

Ya. Barnes certainly shouldent go play ball at NC. They suck. He would be far better off coming to IOWA. lmfao. Lick would really mold him into the best collage bb player ever.

Barnes will step in and play quite a bit at N.C. as a freshmen. At Iowa it would take him at least two years to learn the system.

Then after that he gets benched for shooting the ball out of turn and becomes best friends with David Palmer.

oh sorry there tweeter. Edit: RW gets canned at NC. Barnes realizes that being coached by Lick is his best opportunity to make it to the next level. He comes in as a freshman and puts up 20 points per game and he does not stop there. He decides he loves Iowa so much that he wants to stay all 4 years and by the time he is a senior he is putting up 45 points 12 rebounds and 14 assists per game and in the year of 2014 the Iowa hawkeyes win the national championship.
Now I feel better about NC fans wanting RW gone.

Yes, that is refreshing. Doesn't that feel good?
