Good Norming (pretty clever huh :cool:) Hawkeyenation. There was a pretty cool idea proposed over on the other site. Due to the rumors about Norm and what he has already gone through this season, they proposed a tribute this week in Kinnick. The idea being that on every 3rd down on defense the crowd chant NORM! NORM! Kind of in H! A! W! K! fashion. I think it's a great idea.

They have started a facebook page for it and people are just trying to spread the word. I think it would be pretty awesome for Norm, and I imagine it would pump the D up like crazy!! Unfortunately I won't be there this week but it would be awesome to hear on TV! Anyway, just figured I'd bring the idea to all the great hawk fans on this site!

Yeah. I just like the idea of it going down during play. 3rd downs are obviously huge. Like I said, just an idea I figured I'd share.

I just heard people posting comments that they heard he had a heart attack - obviously I do not get to see the DSM news, I was just wondering if anything specific had been officially released.
 


Nothing yet Scott. But we also didn't hear about the amputation until a good week or so after it happened. There's a lot of smoke though.
 


If you're having limbs amputated it's an indication that your diabetes is not controlled (there's an understatement) and that you've got bad circulatory problems.

I'm pretty sure we've seen Norm coach his last. I don't base that on anything aside from what we already know but I know how diabetes progresses and this is not good.

I couldn't agree more. Norm is in a very tough spot and I'm sure that his foot wasn't his only problem. Take care Norm, we're all pulling for you.
 


I hope it is the entire stadium shouting the spelling of Norm instead of just 1/4 of the stadium at a time. We will need the entire stadium cheering to help the defense.

Either way spreading rumors about somebody's health regardless if it's true or not isn't really what I think people should be doing on message boards.

Especially since there has been anything made public on the topic.


I really don't understand why people do this, But I guess that's just me.
 


Norm could be back for Michigan State, but maybe later. Says he is still in the rehab center.
Per Kirk's presser today. Still be fantastic to get the crowd going with N-O-R-M though
 




I actually think this a terrible idea.

Nothing against Norm, we all love the guy, but I would much rather have 70,000 screaming and making it hard on Wisconsin rather than just NORM repeatedly.

I think there are other ways to show appreciation.
 


Maybe something like "Win for Norm!"? An actual chant would work best, as it gets everyone involved at once.
