No, because any other coach is a better coach... I think Keno Davis will be the next coach at Iowa though and sooner than we think possibly.

Keno has a 4-star and two 3-stars committed to Providence for next year. He signed four 3-star players last year.
Need a good laugh? I wanted to see who his assistants were. After all of the nepotism going on in Iowa right now, I noticed that one of Keno's assistants was Chris Davis and I was hoping that he wasn't a relative. Umm, I don't think he's a relative. Rodell is not the son of Chris either. That's a lot of Davis'.

Coach K....so what? There are a hundred coaches with those kinds of records to start that continued on a downward spiral for each one that pulled out of the tailspin.
That was also back in 1980-something...he was not making 1.2 million..money is up, coaches get a shorter leash...that is why they get 8.4 million deals..with nice buyouts of 600k/yr...

Jay Bilas - a consensus top 50 recruit
Johnny Dawkins - Freshman All-American
David Henderson
He then followed up that class with
Mark Alarie- Arizona Player of the Year
Tommy Amaker - McDonalds All-American
Marty Nessley
Now please go back and look at our last two years and tell me if you see similarities between these two coaches? The only one that I can find is the Arizona POY (Fuller and Alarie). I don't see any McDonalds AA's on the roster, I don't see any consensus top 50 players on the roster, do you?

I didn't realize that about the Duke recruiting, but you show me anyone who could have recruited a top 50 player to Iowa the last 3 years. And when I say anyone, I mean a coach who would actually take the job at Iowa. I think Lick has had some bad luck and I'm not ready to fire him today.

Essentially what you're saying is that Iowa will only be able to hire a lousy recruiter. I don't buy that. I also don't think you can put Lick's lack of recruiting on "bad luck".
If there's any bad luck, you could say that about the Jake Kelly and Tyler Smith transfers, but the others left because they were unhappy in the program. Players leaving because they don't like playing for you doesn't qualify as bad luck IMO.
And Lickliter could have kept Tony Freeman if he wanted to, but Freeman was given a choice between changing his "style" of play, or riding the pine, if everything I heard about it was accurate.
