No more spin

Can't sugar coat or spin it now.

The 2016 season was a total disappointment.

It was not, as some said, "filling." The 2016 team was preseason top 15 for good reasons. It will end 8-5, unranked, and embarrassed in its bowl game.

It also never compared to the 2008 season. As has been said elsewhere, the 2008 team was inexperienced; it hadn't even settled on a QB or RB at the beginning of the season. This season had the experience and talent to make a run from the start, 2008 needed time to gel. Simply because both teams won a few down the stretch isn't unusual.

So yeah, not filling, not good, not acceptable.

Of course, Miller is on Twitter right now saying people were feeling good about the season 35 days ago. I wasn't. 8-4 is nothing to brag about. Maybe Jon should start sharing the Hawkeye kool aid because apparently it is a pretty strong drink

He means he was feeling good. Majority saw it as a lost season.

Kirk keeping CJ is risking serious injury to him. Really don't understand why Stanley is not in the game.

He said "ppl," which I assume meant "people," and not "me" or "I."

I very much agree that the vast majority sees this season as a loss. I'm not quite sure why Jon is projecting his beliefs on the fan base as a whole.

Miller has done a 180.....SOMEONE sat him down and talked to him and scolded him like a 3rd grader!!!!

I think this, been very neutral on most everything controversial for a while now. I used to come to site more to hear is unedited view, just not the same as it was. I'm guessing he will gloss over the CJ playing as no big deal as well..

$8.1mil/yr for our coaching staff is a poor ROI. Surely, we could find a coaching staff that cares about winning for this kind a salary...Shirley!

Didn't you get the memo? 8-4 is about as good as Iowa can hope for. After all, we are just Iowa. Just because other similarly situated schools (WI) can win big for years and years doesn't mean we can.

The other team had ten starters out so I thought Iowa had a pretty good chance. Florida does have a lot of talent.
