No idea what to expect..

Am I the only one who really has NO idea what to expect this game, or season? Usually I'll have an idea or hunch on what to expect, but I really have NO idea.

Was our Defense that good, or our Offense that bad in Spring? Is our OL that bad, or just a great DL?

I feel like we could win by a lot today, or get smashed.. but maybe we win close or lose by a little? Feel like we have the potential to win 9 or so games, but we could also lose 9 or so games...

I just have NO idea what to expect.

Anyone else feel that way?

I think we'll win by a lot today, no idea what to expect once the B1G season starts...

I had no idea what to expect. During the last 2 months I was led to believe, by reading tweeets and listening to podcasts, that this team would stink. I began to believe that. Today was a mild surprise. I was pleased that they could score points and even saw some plays that I had never seen Iowa run.

They certainly need to improve to have a good season, but this was a solid start and that obdes well.

The defensive line.....wow. granted it was an fcs opponent. Loved all the screens on offense too. Canzeri has some nice hands out of the backfield and those screens outside to the receivers I don't remember seeing either.

They never threw deep is my one and only concern from today. They never really needed to though

Defense looked good, but ISU OL was really bad. But our DL stepped up.

Still concerned sbout offense. We have no speed. We don't challenge over the top...maybe because we can't block for long enough....

we'll know more once conference play starts but I still see us as a 5-7 win team because the offense doesn't look good

Would have liked to see a couple deep shots early, however, by the start of the 2nd, we really didn't need to.

All in all, better than I expected. Playcalling was different and agressive early, CJ was solid and accurate, WR caught the ball, Leshun looked good combo of power and some speed. Canseri was fantastic out of the backfield. Dline was great, LBs were quiet but we're in good position(Dline pressure helped with that). DBS weren't really tested but were solid in run help and seemed to have good position and we're attacking the ball.

It's funny though, before the game...it was a really good Illinois State team...dangerous...with a lot returning...a qb that would give us trouble.....a real possibility to win.

after the game...JUST an FBS school.

Some questions answered, a few more left.

Pretty pleased overall.
