I have long felt Mike Garrett to be an idiot and over his head as an AD. He just reconfirmed that nicely.

Skip to the Lack of Institutional Control section if you're short on time. USC is well and truly screwed - thanks to the 2008 changes to the appeals process, they have a snowball's chance on appeal.

The NCAA took an especially dim view of the running back's coach lying and obstructing the investigation.
