NIU Game TV info

I know its kind of early and all but all the BTN is talking about 3 games on Saturday and Iowa vs NUI wasn't one of them. I checked the schedule for the 31st and sure enough it isn't listed on the t.v. guide, but on the University website it says BTN. Does anyone know if they will have alternate channels once Saturday rolls around? Need to know whether to go balls out with big BBQ or plan on going to the watering hole. Thanks.

The schedule on TV Schedule & Shows « Big Ten Network says BTN has the game at 3:30pm. But it doesn't say if it's on an alternate channel.

I would bet it's on a very alternate channel. I don't think people across the nation are begging to watch this one.

thanks for link, I just hate freaking out on game day calling directtv last minute. But you couldn't more correct besides Iowa fans and the NUI fan the game won't break any viewing records .

Why don't you use the search feature for Direct TV? Menu Button, Search, Keyword or Title Search, plug in IOWA

I did nothing showed up.... That's why I came here. All it came up with was BTN preview and abunch replays against MSU. Also manually went to the 31st and all it shows is Michigan vs CMU at that time, not being lazy or stupid its not showing anything for Iowa on Saturday.

I don't see it either. I'll be at the game, but DVR all the games to rewatch during the week and during the offseason. I actually JUST deleted last season.
Hopefully they update the listings pretty soon.

Iowa is on a BTN alternate channel on DirecTV, Dish and any cable system outside of Iowa. Many systems do not show the alternate channel guide info until a couple days before the game. DirecTV is typically this way. Dish does already show Iowa on the alternate channel (438-02 for those with the Hopper, I believe it's 5440 or 5441 for all other receivers).

That's kind of what I thought too, thanks. Wish they would get alternative channels assigned earlier... don't they understand the stress they put on fans by waiting until last moment haha.

My provider here in Missouri has the Michigan game showing at 2:30 on btn, and the alternate channels are not available to me. I will be watching the game on BTN2GO. It is listed available if you're in a desperate situation, hope this helps it has been my experience with the satellite providers that the alternate channels will most likely appear a couple days before Saturday and will remain there until football season is over.

It could be worse, it could only be available on Pay per View like the hometown Mizzou Tigers here. Did I mention the price tag on these games are just as expensive as going to the game? Hawk fans we have it good, really good.
