The Iowa Hawkeyes ‏@TheIowaHawkeyes 21s We're inching closer to football season... the start times for Iowa's first 2 home games will be released at 10 a.m. (CT). #Hawkeyes

I would assume an 11:00am kick for Mizzou State. NIU I still think has a chance to pop into the 2:30 spot probably on the BTN.

***Confirmed*** NIU 2:30 and Mizzou St 11:00. Both BTN

We need to push for earlier games times. Ferentz likely goes to bed around 8pm and get up around 2am. By 11am hes ready for a nap and by halftime at night games he is ready to fall asleep.

Game time at 6am would have the captain at his peak of coaching ability. Lets make this happen.

NIU is a loss ... why would the BTN want to highlight a B1G school losing to a MAC school?

Interested to hear your thought process on this.

The worst Iowa team in 12 years beat the best NIU team in school history on a neutral field last year.

What makes you think this years NIU team can win in Kinnick?

I agree. Iowa just doesnt lose to lower level talent in Kinnick. Game is a lock.

Yeah because that is what my post said.

Money has it chalked up as a loss and I was just wondering why he feels that way.

Upsets happen in college football and if NIU wins in Kinnick this year it will be an upset.

The second half of the schedule opens up for several afternoon games. I like that. WHEN we surprise people, maybe we'll see more late games!

Having the 230 BTN window should help a lot for those who don't like 11am games. It already gave us NIU at 230, and it makes it possible for the five remaining unscheduled kick times. We may see roughly the same number of 230 as 11am kicks this year.

Agreed.
As long as BTN doesn't switch to a different sport for the afternoon broadcast. I know they like to slip a volleyball in the afternoon,
occasionally.

I'd expect the Western Michigan to be an 11am, but if we can be competitive, NW or Wiscy could easily be 2:30 kicks.

WMU sounds like an easy 11am start but remember, they carried the UNI game at 2:30 last year so who knows what they will do.
