NIT quarterfinals

The next game will be played on the home court of the higher seed in the matchup. They'll be playing for a showing in the semifinals which will be played in Madison Square Garden.

Best seeds home arena.

Semi's and championship are the only games played at a neutral court, Madison Square Garden.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but guys at work were arguing with me. Go St Johns in this case!

I'm torn between cheering for the Johnnies or the Cavaliers. I live 2 hours from Charlottesville, so if Virginia wins, I can make the drive down there to see the Hawkeyes hoopsters in person for the first time since 1982!! On the other hand, it's always good for the home team to be playing at CHA in a late March tourney.

I'd love to see the Hawks come into ACC country and beat down a team from that conference, which they can certainly do. And I would be wearing my black and gold at that game!

So who should I be cheering for on Sunday morning? Help me! :>)

Im scared of Virginia. According to the idiot doing the game last night, the ACC is going to be by far the best conference in college basketball next year.

How good is Virginia?

19-1 at home for the year. Wins vs. Duke, UNC, Tennesse, and NC State at home. Beat Becky Badger in Madison during nonconference play. Virginia should have been the overall number one in this tourney.

Similiar to Iowa in defense, but as with the Hawks lapses in scoring occurs.

How good is Virginia?

Virginia is #31 in Pomeroy, Iowa is #24.

Virginia had a couple bad losses early in the season - one at home to Delaware and another loss in Richmond to ODU. They had a good record in the ACC at 11-7, but I think they got beat in the first round of the conference tourney.

They play 10 deep and rely mainly on a strong defense, because they average only 64 points a game. Junior forward Joe Harris is their leading scorer and he hits about 44% of this threes. He scores 25% of their points on average. He's 6'6", and May could be matched up with him. I like Eric's defense lately.

I would say Virginia vs. Iowa in Charlottesville would be a very good game.
