Nothing personal, but copying and pasting articles can't happen. It's not just an HN thing. There are crawler services out there that media companies use to search for copy/paste from their articles, etc and they hit sites with copyright violations. They also threaten the ISP and get sites shut down. ISPs will nuke you if they think there's a possibility they think it can cause them grief.

I moderated on an outdoors board that was around a lot longer than HN and had about 100 times more users and it got completely shut down with no warning over someone posting a Field and Stream article text.
