I believe it has happened 19 times in the NFL where a team that has gone 2-0 during the regular season has had to play the same team for the 3rd time.
12 out of 19 times the team that is 2-0 won the game to beat the same team in a season 3 times.
Found it interesting since all analysts want to drop the "And we all know it's hard to beat a team 3 times in one season."
Apparently it's not that hard.
