NFL Network & Mediacom Agree to Carriage Terms

Mediacom and NFL Network have reached an agreement for carrying the NFL Network and NFL RedZone in time for the start of the 2011 NFL regular season.

NFL Network will be available on Digital Plus*. The current price is only $12.00.

NFL RedZone will be a stand‐alone service for a one‐time fee of $49.95 for each NFL season.

You must have NFL Network (Digital Plus) in order to subscribe to RedZone

*Digital Plus contains a variety of other channels including Education, Entertainment, Family/Kids, Movies & Sports.

***My comments - I don't have Mediacom but this should be good news for those that do. I also highly, highly recommend the NFL Red Zone Channel. It is an awesome channel, especially if you're into Fantasy Football.

I would be kind of ****** if I was a mediacom subscriber. The NFL Network only shows about 8 games and this is another reason for mediacom to really jack their rates up.

Considering a 5 month season: (5*$12)+$50=$110. Dishnetwork cost just an extra $7 a month and you get both channels. Save yourself $75 and go with Dish over mediacom.

I have the misfortune of having several 100 year old trees blocking the south of my home. This of course renders it impossible to have a dish. So i have to use mediacom and their packages do not even compare to what I could have with a dish of some kind.

I went back to Mediacom because Qwest internet was garbage. I thought I was going to have to bite the bullet with the NFL network, so this is good news!

There is much more to the NFL Network than just 8 NFL games. I have DirecTV and get all of my NFL news from NFL Network and during the season, their gameday coverage blows the 4 letter network out of the water. When the NFL lockout ended and Free Agency got underway, NFL Network was live around the clock with news & developments on player movement.
