NFL draft

I read that Blythe is a late round selection, at best.

I'm betting right now that he makes a roster, somewhere. Thoughts?

IMO will be the same as the Mitch King scenario. Awesome Hawkeye but is physically too small for his position in the NFL. He can play center or guard in the NCAA, but that doesn't translate to an NFL guard. I hope the kid goes higher than projected but I just don't see it.

I'm starting to wonder if any Hawkeyes will be drafted aside from Rudock. Our best bets are Blythe, Walsh, Lomax, and Krieger-Coble, but those are all borderline guys at best. Duzey and Ott have a tiny chance as well, but there's only one round left.

1977 was the last year Iowa didn't have someone drafted. Hope the string stays alive this year. Going down to the wire.

Looking at nfl.com they listed each college who had a drafted players and potential players to be drafted. Had to laugh at the clowns. Not even a prospect to be drafted. 7 years of the great Paul Rhoads and not a prospect. I guess the clowns were right about their recruiting classes. Of course that all changes this coming year.

On the bright side, we don't have to replace a lot of NFL talent from last years 12 win team.
