Watching the pre selection show, they named off each of the players and each walked out on stage. Apparently some of these guys don't know how to get in the correct order in line, was good stuff. Got some smart ones.
 
I wonder if Cam Newon will try to keep his contract hush hush or if he realizes he can actually get paid to play now.

I really like the pick. He's going to be a stud. He has versatility to play linebacker or some D-end and Fox will use him well. There will be D tackles available early in the 2nd round. Him and a healthy Elvis are going to terrorize quarterbacks
 
Aldon Smith at 7? Titans take Locker at 8? Jags trade up to pick Gabbert? Texans take Watt instead of Prince? This draft is turning into a cluster f**k
 
Anyone else not like the new trend of showing the guys in the green room getting "the call" before the Commish announces it? Hell, they talk about the pick for a couple of minutes before Goodell walks to the podium...
 
Cam Newton #1? Seriously? When are people going to learn? Vince Young, JaMarcus Russell... super athletic system QBs don't work in the NFL. Dude is going to be a horrible pro.

Congrats on your wasted pick and automatic payout of about 25 million Carolina.

Hopefully the Chiefs aren't so stupid - take a stud OL or Clayborn please.

Cam wanted to go to another team, but his dad brokered a deal with Carolina so he had to go number 1 because "the money was too much"...

I am with you Shane. Personally I like that brief pause right before Goodell announces the name...it adds suspense. Unless of course you have been watching the guy hug his entire family and hear Kiper rattle off 36 stats about the guy prior to the announcement...

Exactly...it adds to the fun of it and I LOVE hearing the Jets and Giants fans boo or "whoa" the picks as well.
