NFL Draft Look Ahead

main thing i notice is this: after so many good drafts, we certainly have ran out NFL ready players.

Cj anywhere from rounds 1 to 3
id say all of our LB'S will get drafted/ see NFL camps (kirksey led in tackles for NCAA)
Lowery should be a mid round pick
All these presumptions base on injury free year

Every eligible Iowa FB player will be drafted and will make an NFL squad.
Because the shortest route to the NFL is through Curt.

LOL. You can't be serious about CJ. He might get drafted due to his size, but probably play special teams and block his own teams' punt like 'Nutt did.

What? Watch what he does with a QB other than Vandenderp. He is the prototypical tight end.

That is a great article because Riley knows where he is going to be working, its either Tackle or Guard, but definitely on the Offensive or Defensive line. Unless three Tight Ends get injured all at once, or they want a jumbo fullback package.

The coaching staff and management are high on Reiff, and his workload likely will increase in 2013. Depending on what moves are made in free-agency and the draft, Reiff is almost certain to start at tackle – left or right – or guard.

Reiff isn’t getting caught in in trying to figure where he might play. The focus of his workouts is to play wherever the Lions want him.

CJ is one of the best blocking TE's in college football. He will get drafted off that skill alone. When you add that to what he can contribute in the passing game (which is probably not quite as much as we were hoping/expecting), he will be a highly sought after pick. He will be one of the first TE's to hear his name called on draft day.

+1

And if during the offseason, he works on his balance and ability to break tackles (particularly when DB's dive at his legs) he will be a force and raise his stock even more.

HEY PIN2WIN, PLS MAKE A "IN WHICH ROUND WILL CJ FED BE DRAFTED" WAGER. KTKSBAI.

JC begs to differ.

To be "overrated" there first has to be a contingent of people that actually think you're good. JC would fall into the category of "overhyped" not "overrated." Nobody that actually saw him play thought he was worth anything, unlike the near legendary CJF who's 3 year career totals to date include about 600 yards and 3 TDs, yet is actually considered a can't miss NFL prospect by a fairly vocal minority of learning disabled Iowa fans.

In the NFL draft, production doesn't always (you might even say it doesn't even USUALLY) trump potential. Every year there are examples of that.
