Next year's Roster & Depth

My predicted starters:

PG: Cartwright
SG: Gatens
SG: May
PF: Basabe
C: Brommer

Bench:
PG: C. Payne
SG: Marble
F: McCabe
SG: Ogelsby
F: A. White
C: Archie

Pretty evident we need some help down low - hopefully Fran can get a solid JUCO big man who can rebound and contribute some solid minutes.

Overall, I am cautiously optimistic about next season, considering how much better this team has looked lately. I don't think we will be a NCAA Tourney team next year, but I think we will see marked improvement, and as long as Fran can bring in some solid recruiting classes (Woodbury and Jok specifically) I think the team is definitely headed in the right direction.

One thing is for sure, and that is I can honestly say that this is the first time in a long time that I have an active interest in watching an entire Iowa basketball game based on the effort and style of play that is being put forth by the team and coaching staff.

Hopefully even better things are on the horizon in the near future for this team!

This could be the starting line up , but as far as actual minutes don't think we will see this line up much. Iowa will have two ball handlers on the floor at most of the times. SO payne, marble or a recruit with Cartwright will be on the floor together.
