Next up - a big one vs MSU

I really would like to see Iowa have their hair lit on fire for that one.
Need a top 25 win, and would help get back in the race.

If MSU wins against UM today, then it will be the biggest game in Carver for quite some time. Regardless, will be pretty big.

MSU better bring it cause the Hawks will be......

I wonder if the team will be on their way back during the MSU game tonight and if so if Fran and coaching staff would be streaming and watching live and doing some early scouting.

I think we are catching Sparty at a good time with the injuries and after an in state rivalry game.

All the commentators will talk about is MSU and their injuries.

Yea, bummer they have to rely on some of those 4 & 5 star recruits who were enjoying some quality bench time. If MSU has an impressive win against Michigan tonight, anyone with a pulse will hopefully see through that type of excuse.

Yeah, too bad they lost, oh not really...Iowa wins by 9 in Carver.

We should kill them inside and on the boards. They will be scrappy but just not as big, athletic, talented, deep, experienced, etc. in the front court...IMO

I have a feeling that this team has been waiting for Sparty since they were beat by them in the BS BTT game. We want Spartan blood and I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them by 15+.

Michigan wasn't supposed to be either, but their hustle made Iowa look slow, if that starts happening, Iowa will have to match it.

I agree and I hope the HAWKS bring it from the start and not wait till the second half.

If Iowa plays their game and doesn't play to the competition, they should win pretty easily. They have a tendency to play to the competition. Michigan state has a lot of good players that were sitting on the bench, but Iowa has the experience and home court advantage.

Iowa 19 gm CHA win streak and huge advantage on the boards will be too much for MSU barring a 12-13 3 pt barrage from Sparty.

Getting white and marble involved in 1st half might something Fran might consider emphasizing too.

MSU is Final Four caliber...yes they are missing a couple guys, but playing to the competition is what they need to do with or without Payne/Dawson. They still have the preseason POY and a 4-yr starter at PG.

Harris is the key here, if he goes off the game stays close. Must D him up like Hollins of MN (2nd half)

Put Gesell on Appling and Marble on Harris. They will score some points...just don't let anyone else do anything and destroy them on the inside.
