And ranked very well...#1. Lots of room for improvement at 149 (#24), 165 (#15), and 197 (#30). Would be a bigger gap with Byers, but hopefully Ambrose will make 197 and improve on the preseason #30.

Top 3 at 125, 133, 141, 157, and 184. #5 at 174.
 


What the hell happened with Byers anyway? God I would love to have the #2 sitting on our sideline. Looking at lineups... with Long flaming out... PSU really looks to be at a disadvantage against the Hawks now and we have a lot of unknowns who could be even better.

125 - huge adv IA
133 - huge adv IA
141 - huge adv IA (with an Alton redshirt)
149 - huge adv PSU
157 - huge adv IA
165 - advantage PSU (but Nick can do some damage here)
174 - slight advantage PSU
184 - slight advantage PSU (although I think Gambrall is the better wrestler)
197 - wash
HWT - even
 


It's a shame Andrew Howe is taking a redshirt year...we'll have to wait til next year to see him vs. David Taylor. Those will be fun battles to watch.

It's probably going to be another long year in Ames but I'm looking forward to seeing what Gadson can do. I think he could be very good down the road
 


PSU does have 2 true freshman projected to start at 125 and 197 and they are not represented yet in the rankings.
 


I'll be surprised if everyone on that list actually redshirts. Seemed like a ton of guys, but i suppose they did their research. Will the other Alton wrestle 41 then?
 


There's been talk of Alton coming back at 141 this upcoming season. It could just be wishful thinking though.
