New Toy for tailgating!!

For the last couple of years we have been thinking about getting a small RV for tailgating but it always seemed like a goal that was out of reach. After poking our nose around here and there we finally found a seller in Marshalltown that was willing to part with his for a fair price and the RV was in good condition. So starting this year we will be joining the ranks of tailgaters that roll in every home game with an RV! I'm really looking forward to it! We will be able to get down there Friday nights and we can hit the campus area up the night before. The biggest bonus is that instead of having to be up at 4:30 in the morning we can sleep in! I'm extremely excited about this and can't wait for September! On a side note has anybody taken an RV down the night before? What rules should I know about?

******* was full!

don't you go falling in love with it now, because, we're taking it with us when we leave here next month.

I am not sure of the rules but I live a couple blocks away and RV's are all over my street the night before. I know they police the lots on Fridays and I think as soon as they open up they will up quickly.

Livin' the dream! Have fun, I'm envious. :)

If I had an RV I'd be totally quoting Cousin Eddy all the time. Too bad they don't make Meister Brau anymore.

I did see on the Hawkeyesports website that alcohol wasn't permitted on Friday nights. I wonder how in depth they get on that. Do they actually come around and knock on your door and look around to see if you are drinking?

I'm pretty sure you can drink inside the RV, you just can't be out on the street/sidewalk or parking lot with any.

Here are my pointers for a fun RV weekend:

1) Don't fire up a batch of chili for gameday and feed it to the 4 dudes who will be sleeping in the RV
2) Don't lock the keys in the RV on the coldest night of the year and then break the window out to get in
3) Get to IC early so you don't have to park out at the intramural lot
4) Keep your keg and hard liquor in your RV and out of the line of sight of the fuzz
5) Do not let the driver have more than 6 beers on the drive to Iowa City, unless you are driving from Omaha, in which case you shouldn't let him have more than 10

Had to add one...

Good work R-man! That should be a blast as long as you don't OK4P things up like OK4P. Are you gonna give it a b&g paint job?
