New Intermat rankings

Hey everyone, Intermat has released there new preseason D1 rankings. They look pretty good to me and somewhat fair for the Hawkeye wrestlers. I'm a little surprised that Keddy isn't #2 ahead of Askren and Beatty could probably be a little higher but oh well. Now it's almost time to go prove it on the mat. I will attach the link but here is how the Hawks are ranked right now.

141- Dan Leclere #11
149- Brent Metcalf #1
165- Ryan Morningstar #4
174- Jay Borschel #4
184- Phil Keddy #3
197- Chad Beatty #12
HWT- Dan Erekson #4

Will be interesting to see how quickly Moore gets into it..133 is pretty loaded again...LeClere has had a lot of time to think and to get motivated...I would not want to be in 149 this year, as I think Metcalf will put on a Hodge campaign for the ages...I hope M* opens up more offensively...JayBo probably had a motivational offeseason, too....Keddy is one of my all time favorites to watch...would love to see Beatty knock off Varner in Hilton, and I will be there...a lot of returning firepower at HWT

Jon, Moore will more than likely be delegated to another year of bench. From the sounds of it he is too big to make 125. McDounough or Krutsinger will be the 125 lber for the Hawks this year.

Having Keddy ranked third behind Askren just shows how rankings don't mean squat. They've been trying to get Askren to the top after having him ranked #1 at the beginning of the season when he was a freshman. He is not the wrestler his brother was. I think they want some justification for having him ranked so high when he was a freshman.

Ronsnap, that really sucks that this had to happen had they not erased everything this would probably not of resurfaced to the top of the board. Way to own up to your false predictions. Ha ha just having some fun.

I would like to think the lose will only help Phil in his preperation for the rest of the season.
