WOW...I would take this in a heartbeat. A #6 seed versus St. Joseph's first round. Next round probably Villanova, then other half includes UConn vs Pittsburgh and Wisconsin vs Vermont.

Right now I would take a 6 seed rather than a 4 or 5 seed so we can avoid the 1 seed in the sweet 16. This year, there isn't much difference if you play a 3, 4 or 5 seed in the second round as we have the talent to beat any of the 2, 3, 4 or 5 seeds.

Iowa has the talent to play with any of the projected #1 seeds in the field. We've all seen Iowa take it to Michigan, Wisconsin, Villanova for long stretches of a game. However, looking at projected seeds 8-12, Iowa could very easily lose to any of them. We've all seem them struggle to win against Penn St & Illinois and lose at home to a team that struggles to get into the 50s (Ohio St) and look completely lost on offense and defense for long stretches no matter the opponent.

Point being, it really doesn't matter what seed Iowa is. Would a 4 or 5 look better? Absolutely. Would a 7, 8, or 9 look kinda ugly consider where the where a week ago? Yes. But it doesn't really matter. They are legit capable of beating any team in that field and capable of losing to 2/3 of the teams in that field.

Would not happen. They will not have a possible rematch against 'Nova in the 3rd round or a possible 3rd game against Wisconsin in the Sweet 16.

Not Syracuse or Florida, or maybe even Wichita St for that matter.

OMG.....a chance for rematches against V'nova and Wisconsin.......where can I buy the tickets for that?

Well, if if comes to fruition -- Stub hub to start ... but I assume that you'd have to get a plane ticket to make both games as well. So, maybe expedia also.

there won't be a rematch in round 32.

there are possible rematches in round 16.

Yes there can be. They would rather preserve the seed than not have a rematch.
Yes. Like I said. A possible rematch in sweet 16.

Handchecking and arm bars were supposed to be called all season, too. I've seen how the NCAA enforces the rules.

I'll qualify it: There won't be rematches that matter in round 32 between the big boy teams.

PAC12 blows....

I agree with you. But for some reason the Pac12 always has two or three teams that show well come tourney time. Seems like there is always 2 or 3 of them in the sweet 16. Whether its AZ, Oregon, UCLA, Stanford, Wash, or Colorado they always get a couple that reach the Sweet 16.

It seems like they get their share of middle seeds to stay out west. That doesn't seem to happen with Midwest teams.

That could be flawed perception but it just seems like it.

We could easily make the final four in this bracket. So much better than the one two weeks or so when we were 5th seeded.

If I could lock us in as a 6 seed right now, I'd do it. Playing a 3 seed in the second round as opposed to a 4 seed, that's basically the same thing. Ditto for playing an 11 or 12 seed in the first round.

Being in that 3/6 slot is a pretty good place to be. Obviously, you would meet a 2 seed in the Sweet 16 instead of a 1 seed, not to mention that I feel there's a higher chance the 2 seed gets upset before then compared to the 1 seed, so if you're in one of those brackets with a lot of mayhem, anything can happen.
