I was at that game. Was not associated with Iowa yet. Just lived in LA and decided to get tickets for the regionals.

Yep, that was the following year in the 2nd round (5 vs 4 seed) of the 1988 Tournament. Blowout city.

Revenge is sweet, but I would trade the 1988 win over UNLV 10 times over for a win over the 1987 UNLV team and a trip to the Final Four.
