I was under the impression that the ticket office was accepting applications for this season up to and including April 30th--after that date all applications would be evaluated, the sausage would be ground, and then we'd hear who got what. Because I had to be in Iowa City that day, I waited until then to turn in my app in person to eliminate loss in the mail or some other snafu.
About 4 weeks ago I received an email from the ticket office stating that since my application was received after the deadline I wouldn't be in the running for any season tickets--possibly could get an offer for 2-game package if someone cancelled. After grinding my teeth for several days about "missing the deadline" and to let my blood pressure drop back down, I did my best to compose a calm letter to explain that if there was an April 30 deadline I had indeed met it.
Today I received an email from the ticket office offering me two complete season tickets! Not sure how any of this has gone down, but just wanted to put this story out there for others who have been praying for a miracle...
