Negatives

1. Defense (pretty much embarrassing IMO)
2. Bench? (At this point I think the only guy I trust on the bench is Wagner, and even he didn't get into any rhythm. That's the Brady I expected we'd see when the games got tougher. I'd like to see more Moss)
3. FT shooting( well hopefully that will improve)
4. PG play. (Quite frankly, that's not enough out of Williams and Jordan. I think we need to see more Williams and he need to look to score more)
5. 3rd scorer (still looking for him)

1. Yep
2. Hard to say this early.
3. It freaking better.
4. Definitely agree with CW looking to score more. Really think the drive and pop works for him.
5. It's too bad Jones isn't ready, because I think he could definitely be the guy.

Defense is about desire and will. We showed neither against their guards. Most really good college teams have great guard play...we better get better fast at the defensive end. SH was the last team to beat Villanova, and it's pretty much the same team...so they are a top 20 team IMO. That was just terrible defense against penetration.

So called fans. Where the freak were you all who did not attend this game against a big time opponent? Pathetic.

Bohannon's not ready yet. We will have to live with mistakes out of him for a while. Agree, Williams needs to be more aggressive. Ellingson still can't get a shot off against good defenses. Team all needs to shoot free throws better, especially Cook and Wagner, their going to get fouled a lot. Defense will have to learn and learn quickly how to stop dribble drive, or there won't be much success. Potential is certainly there and they should be fun to watch, but if you can't play defense you won't win big boy basketball games.

Hate to say it but I was right in my concerns over the defense but it wasn't just our perimeter defense the interior defense was horrible as well. It didn't help that the perimeter defense could not stop the dribble drive. Oh, BTW, we need a shot blocker!

I don't get why Bohannon was used for so many important minutes, it was obvious he was struggling with the speed of the game.

We miss woody. He may not have blocked a lot of shots, but he altered a fair share of them. We don't have that guy yet. I am hoping that cook can turn into that guy eventually, but we are going to have growing pains on the defensive side of the floor.

Cook could have went for 30 if he made his FT's - Defense and FT shooting was a negative - but honestly - I came away with WAY more positives from this game.

No, Woody is not missed. The inside game of Cook / Uhl was incredibly more productive than Woody ever was, even with Gabe. Yes, Cook played matador, A LOT, but, the way the game was being called, Woody would've fouled out midway through the 2nd.

Woody has zero athleticism compared to Cook / Uhl. This will come in handy because, unfortunately, it looks like they're continuing to hedge out of position. (I've just come to accept this as (a bad) part of Fran's defensive strategy / style.) So, use what you have to offset the poor positioning. Teach these guys recovery angles and how to get off your feet to block from behind / challenge shots. That's about the most you'll get from them on D but, given their length and agility, they could still bring a lot more than Woody could dream of.

Offensively yes, defensively...heck no

This +1000. I was hoping someone else noticed this. Our over-hedging leads to so many easy buckets it makes my head spin. Fran continues to teach it this way so I doubt it will ever change.

He played 5 minutes and was 1-1 from 3. LOL OKAY

There is a reason he only played 5 minutes...
Cause he's a roll player and always has been. If you watch his game for that - and understand that, you won't be so disappointed. He looks like he's made some strides this season - maybe he can contribute in a couple of wins these next couple of years.

This is exactly what I expected out of Brady, so I'm in no way disappointed with his lack of PT last night. My disappointment lies in the fact that he even plays at all. I think we need to let Moss build his confidence, because if he does his potential far exceeds Brady's. If he got comfortable he could be strong driving to the basket, a solid shooter, and his lateral quickness should allow him to keep quicker guards in front of him.
