I need to test everybody's memory
I have a very specific memory, but can't find any mention of it on the internet, of a trophy or something that was an ugly hybrid of a cardinal and a hawk merged together that was created in the 70's as part of the Iowa-Iowa State football rivalry. I always thought this was the original cy-hawk trophy but it must have been something different.
I also remember that this specific trophy, or whatever it was, didn't travel because Iowa won every game from 1983-1997 and this thing was forgotten about. It was not until 1998 when ISU won again that everybody found out this thing even existed. After that I don't know what happened to it.
How can I have such a specific memory of that awful cardinal-hawk hybrid trophy but the internet doesn't? I must have something confused but what?
