I get they say tickets sold, but I really wish some investigative reporter would look into this. I know it still makes Nebraska feel relevant, but man oh man there were PLENTY of empty seats.
Yeah, it’s a bait and switch. Wide swaths of unsold seats that go unsold are bought by corporate interests and boosters as another way to donate to that program. It’s a sell out in name only. It wouldn’t bother me so much except Nebraska trumpets it as some fan loyalty thing, when in reality the stadium is at full capacity about the same as kinnick or camp Randall are.
The whole thing is a fantasy.
This, it’s just imaginary at this point
Meh. 5 in a row baby. Eff them.Oh I get it, but it gets old that they use this as the best fans in the nation argument or their fans like to throw it in your face like it’s some badge of honor.

Yes, it doesn't stop at the sellout thing. It's just one of the rides that are part of Fantasyland at Nebraska.Yeah, it’s a bait and switch. I have never been to Memorial stadium but for who that have been what is the atmosphere like compared to some of the other venues? Regardless if they have all the sellouts does the crowd make it that much more of an intimidating place to play or are they a bunch of hand sitters and old timers like the people that fill TCF stadium
They claim it’s an amazing environment, but honestly I think Kinnick is louder when the crowd gets jacked.
Or the Cubs' dynasty streak. Never happened.Nebraska's sellout streak is just like the St Louis Cardinals in baseball.
It doesn't have to be real or accurate, just so people believe it is real and accurate, that's the goal. And if you say it enough...well, there you have it. Works on most levels of life.Their stadium holds 90,000, but from '14-17, they had an attendance over 80,000 one time (vs. Oregon in 2016, and it was just over 80,000) and 4 games under 70,000, yet the tickets were all supposedly sold.
