Does anyone think Lovie and the Frightful Illini have a shot? I’m hoping they can give Nebraska a scare, but I don’t expect it. That said, if anyone is liable to let Illinois hang around, it’s Scott Frost.

While I respect what Central Florida has done, I think they've gotten WAY carried away with their Natty talk, etc. Put them in a Power 5 conference (which is probably their goal), they face tough competition every week and it becomes much more difficult.

Totally. I live in orlando area, daughter is a UCF grad, and I used to have season tix when they played at the Citrus Bowl. I support the team, and all, but put them in ANY P5 conference and they are not reeling off unbeaten seasons annually. They just aren't. That said, they have had some good teams and have been able to compete in the one-off environment the same way Utah and Boise State did. And now Utah is just a "good" P5 team who hasn't been in the CFP conversation.
