NCAA Tournament Ticket Help!

I am planning on making the trip to Iowa's NCAA Tournament game as long as it's in driving distance. I have never been to a game and I was looking for some advice from you tournament veterans.

• Where's the best place to buy tickets?
• Will I need to buy them immediately after the pairings come out?
• How Can I ensure I sit in an Iowa section?
• Can you scalp tickets?

I want to bump this. If it's in Omaha I might go and have the same questions.

Right now my strategy is to watch Stubhub or scalp.

Most regular seats are sold out but that link will take you to the NCAA's own secondary market where there are tickets for sale already. Sometimes I think they release more tickets once the teams are announced so you might be able to go through Iowa's ticket office, I'm not sure.

If they end up in Omaha I think its going to be a very tough/expensive ticket. You're looking at probably Kansas and/or Wichita State and/or Iowa State all going there as well. All those teams travel well, but Kansas fans travel unlike any other fan base I've seen. I went to the Battle 4 Atlantis last year and Kansas fans outnumbered every other team combined and it wasn't even close.
