I know some people will say that these stories are getting old, but I truly believe in the fifth branch of the government. The media is what the people can use to keep organizations that refuse to regulate themselves in check. I think that college athletics have gotten a little out of control and we need to draw attention to it and force the NCAA's hand. They can enforce the rules better or they can change them.
I am a fan of what yahoo sports is doing with all of their investigative reporting. They are not under contract with any of these organizations so it does not hurt any of their other products to bring scandal to light. The same can not be said of some sources like ESPN or any of the major networks. Ok I am done.
